Stock image search browser extension
A Chrome extension that searches multiple stock-image libraries at once, so content teams stop repeating the same query across half a dozen sites.

Situation
The client — a digital content team producing websites and marketing materials — needed a faster way to find suitable stock imagery across several popular libraries.
Repeating the same search manually on multiple websites was slowing down content production and adding friction to an otherwise routine task.
What Changed
I developed a lightweight Chrome extension that searches Unsplash, Pexels, Pixabay and Shutterstock simultaneously. Users enter a search term, choose an orientation and set a pricing preference. The extension then opens relevant results from each platform in separate browser tabs.
Key features
- Searches multiple stock-image libraries at once
- Landscape, portrait and unrestricted orientation options
- Configurable pricing preference options
- Platform-specific search parameter mapping
- Simple, accessible popup interface
- No account, stored credentials or unnecessary permissions
- Chrome Manifest V3 implementation
Results
The finished tool turns a repetitive multi-site search into a single action. It gives the client a quicker way to compare imagery while keeping selection and licensing decisions under the user's control.
