YogisApp: A Multi-Tenant Booking Platform for Independent Yoga Studios

A responsive booking and studio-management platform built for independent yoga teachers and small studios.

Situation

Small studios need many of the same tools as larger fitness businesses, but enterprise booking software is often too expensive, complicated or inflexible. YogisApp had to deliver the same operational capability to independent studios without the cost or complexity.

The platform needed to:

  • Support multiple studios securely
  • Give each studio its own branded booking experience
  • Manage classes, teachers, members and capacity
  • Handle memberships, class packs and drop-in payments
  • Make booking straightforward on mobile
  • Integrate with existing studio websites
  • Automate transactional communication
  • Support different languages and local audiences
  • Provide secure data-management and GDPR tools

What Changed

We designed and developed YogisApp as a multi-tenant SaaS platform. Each studio operates within its own protected workspace and receives a dedicated subdomain, such as yourstudio.yogisapp.com.

Studio owners can configure their timetable, pricing, teachers, branding and booking policies from a central dashboard. Students see a focused, mobile-friendly interface where they can browse availability, purchase the appropriate access and manage their bookings. Studios can use YogisApp as a standalone booking page or embed its timetable and pricing directly into an existing website.

Studio administration

Owners can manage classes, recurring schedules, teachers, members, bookings and payments from one dashboard. Live updates ensure that students always see the current timetable and availability.

Flexible pricing

The platform supports memberships, class packs and individual drop-in payments. Studios can apply restrictions based on class type, teacher or day of the week.

Secure online payments

Stripe and Stripe Connect handle platform subscriptions and student payments. Money is paid directly to each studio's connected Stripe account, while webhook processing keeps booking and entitlement records synchronised.

Automated booking workflows

Yogisapp manages confirmations, reminders, cancellations, waitlists, recurring bookings and payment notifications. This reduces repetitive administration while keeping students informed.

Branded booking experiences

Each studio can configure its logo, colours, typography, policies and content. Custom subdomains and optional custom domains create a consistent experience without requiring a new website.

Website integration

Studios can share a direct booking link or embed their timetable and pricing pages using an iframe. This makes adoption possible without rebuilding an existing website.

Internationalisation

The interface and automated communication support English, Spanish and Italian, with locale-aware routes, metadata and date formatting.

Privacy and security

The application includes role-based access, database-level security policies, protected administrative areas, account verification, two-step authentication and GDPR export and deletion workflows.

Results

The finished product combines a customer-facing booking experience, a studio administration system and a SaaS billing platform in one application.

Studio owners can create their digital studio, configure classes and pricing, connect payments and begin accepting bookings without technical support. Students receive a clear booking journey designed around the device they already use most: their phone.

What this project demonstrates

YogisApp demonstrates my ability to turn a real operational problem into a complete, production-focused digital product. The work covered:

  • SaaS product architecture
  • Multi-tenant data modelling
  • Responsive interface development
  • Authentication and permissions
  • Payment infrastructure
  • Complex booking logic
  • Third-party API integrations
  • Internationalisation
  • Email automation
  • GDPR workflows
  • SEO and structured data
  • Cloud deployment

It is an example of how I approach development projects: understand the business process first, remove unnecessary complexity and build technology that makes the service easier to operate and easier to buy.
